After keeping in touch with the guys for 5 days it was finally our turn to head for Moncton. Ashley and Calvin took Tara and I to Hamilton with lots of time to spare. After having the traditional “Timmy’s” we were soon boarding the plane and leaving Hamilton 15 min. early. After an uneventful flight we arrived in Moncton to muggy, partially overcast skies. After a pleasant taxi ride we arrived at the hotel shortly after 4 and were greeted by Dwight at the desk. Dinner was at the Casino again and then we took a taxi ride into downtown Moncton to hear Colin James and watch the fireworks display. It was a great first day and fun Canada Day celebration. On to Port Hawkesbury tomorrow fully loaded.
Happy Canada Day from Victoria! Was part of a human flag of red and white at the legislature in the inner harbour of Victoria. And leaving shortly for the fireworks to finish the celebrations of our 146th birthday!!!! Was part of a ceremony welcoming new Canadians at Government House earlier today and realized what a wonderful country we are part of!!!! How lucky are we to be Canadian!
