We were all up early as most of us slept fitfully except Alan who seems to be able to sleep anywhere. Our ride that day was a mix of the Trans Canada…straight and hwy 223 which had the curves and climbs but you could only glance over to Bras D’Or Lake as there was no place to pull over. We road a 2 min. ferry that cost us $5.50-I guess for the convenience. We hit some rough rode which caught us all going airborne a few times so we have renamed it “The Wild Mouse”. Lunch was on the wharf in front of the ‘Atlantic Vision’ we later boarded with 5 other bikers travelling from Ont. and Ten. Once on board, we went to our cabin which was VERY tiny and we had to change shifts. The weather was beautiful and we watched Cape Breton disappear. We also saw a dolphin swimming nearby. After dinner, Alan was quickly drifting to sleep so again we went to bed in shifts. The weather was perfect and even thou we had our motion-sickness patches, I don’t think they were needed. It was a perfect ride.
