We were up early and organized to have breakfast at 8:30 as prearranged by Jeannie the night before. We were joined by Jane and Richard from Massachusetts. We had an amazing breakfast(all homemade) while we compared notes with J&R. She was newly retired (2months) and they were heading to their home on the island to stay until Nov.We were on our way and making good headway when suddenly Dwight’s bike died again in almost the same place as two days ago. He changed the fuse and we were on our way…but no, it stopped again! He changed the fuse a second time (working with 15 & 20) and it stopped again! After a more in depth investigation, Alan the diagnostician found a wire that was chafing causing a short. They used duct tape and tada…it started! We were on our way again and the weather had changed so we were riding in off shore winds that almost sent us swimming a few times. Reentering Gros Morne Park, we went to see the Tablelands and Discovery centre. Tara had a little spill on the pathway but was ok. The Tablelands
are made from the mantle of the earth. It was amazing to see two different types of topography on opposite sides of the valley. We continued on to our next stay, George’s Cabins which are part of a ski resort. We had dinner at Madison’s at the Marble Inn which was fantastic!
