Once the decision was made to make Newfoundland our destination, the research began. CAA and Newfoundland tourist information provided all that we needed to start determining our route and timeline. The biggest hurdle was to find out the schedule for the ferries but once that was posted, we were ready to commit. Tara and I spent one Thursday afternoon, Mar. 14 (after 4 previous planning get together’s) booking our B&B’s as well as our flights and ferry passage. As we connected with the various people across Newfoundland, the excitement grew. They were friendly, very helpful and seemed keen on providing us with whatever help they could. Now we’re counting down the final days before the men head off on their bikes with most of our gear and we join them July 1 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
